What to Include on Your Labels?
In trying to label items that you don’t want your child, your elderly loved ones or your other family members to misplace, you may be wondering what information you should include on the label.
Often a name label will suffice since your loved ones are more likely to misplace their belongings in situations where they know people, such as at summer camp or in the retirement home. It is likely that people there will know their name and be able to return the lost item.
If you have problems with items being misplaced at a public place, such as a public pool or a public library though, you may want to add your cell phone number or email underneath the name so strangers have a way of finding you and returning your belongings. We would recommend not putting your home address on your label just to keep that information more private, but an email will usually suffice.
